GORDON HATTERSLEY III

Gordon Hattersley III is a committed social entrepreneur with a dedication to corporate social responsibility, conservation, and work for non-profit, community organizations. He is founder and CEO of Evergreen Earth, a San Diego based family of companies devoted to alternative energy focused development, renewable energy, and sustainability. In addition to establishing Evergreen Earth, he has been involved as an investor and advisor in Airstream Innovations, a company specializing in development of high end, wind-enabled, portable greenhouses.

From the start-up and successful launch of a world-renowned resort to the restoration and promotion of a historic home and luxury Inn, Mr. Hattersley has been involved in developing, maintaining, and promoting excellence and superior quality hospitality facilities and resorts since 1986 throughout the Western United States. As owner and operator of Hattersley Hotels and Hattersley Group, he has had a longstanding commitment to organization, development, and facility excellence, which has been recognized by many Industry awards from his peers and from various community organizations.

In particular, Mr. Hattersley’s development and operation of a five-star, Five Diamond Resort in California is regarded as an industry standard. His renovation and restoration of the historic Britt Scripps mansion, one of San Diego’s few remaining Queen Anne Mansions, received an Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation and holds a five-star rating.

His nonprofit work includes fundraising and development for Stepping Stone, which provides drug and alcohol rehabilitation for the under privileged and for Momma’s Kitchen, which serves meals for the infirmed. Most recently, Mr. Hattersley founded The Evergreen Project, an innovative non-profit devoted to research, education, advocacy, and grants focused on self-sustaining energy production technologies. The organization is currently in discussions to create a pilot curriculum program for the San Diego Unified School District and as a national prototype for science education.
